Celebrities bank on their beauty as well as their body because aside from their talent, people also check these features whenever they go public.

In order to maintain their attractiveness and correct any physical flaws, some local celebrities go to cosmetic surgeons like Dr. Vicki Belo and the couple Drs. Manny and Pie Calayan, who are dubbed as "beauty doctors." Thus, these medical practitioners are quite well-known in the showbiz world.

Aside from their professional connection to the stars, cosmetic surgeons also became popular because of several publicized issues.

A recent example was when an ordinary man identified as Louem Martinez came out to say that he is suing the Drs. Manny and Pie for allegedly causing pain and deformation after he went through a penile enlargement operation.

Martinez claimed that he was never informed about the risks of the operation. Also, he said that the "aqua gel" that was inserted into his organ as "derma filler" did not enhance it but instead caused much pain and severe deformity.

Dr. Manny, on the other hand, denied these allegations and insisted that he "carefully explained" to the complainant the risks and the possible complications of the surgical procedure.

Dr. Pie also aired her side and argued that she should not be involved in the case because she did not participate in the said medical procedure. She also accused Martinez of "crimes of perjury and unjust vexation."

After hearing both sides of the story, some are now wondering, will this case affect the connection of cosmetic surgeons to their celebrity clients?
