Janet Jackson’s Rock Wit U mp3 is an electronic-influenced track aimed squarely at the European dance pop market. The lyrics are sort of simplistic and the beats are really nothing to rave about, but the production itself, like everything from Jermaine Dupri, is highly polished and sophisticated. I don’t know if that’s enough to continue to carry Janet.

Discipline, the disc that Rock Wit U is on, is supposed to revitalize Janet’s career now that she is on a new label, but she is becoming perilously close to that time in an artist’s career when her catalog overshadows her current tunes. Even with major backing, the legendary Janet’s attempt at a comeback is fraught with problems. Still, you can’t deny that few can rival her hitmaking longevity.
